ok, thanks, and how are the members of the legislative council appointed?
- ajdlinux 7y agoHalf the members are elected directly as representatives of geographical constituencies, while the other half are elected to "functional constituencies" where voting is restricted to individuals working in certain professions and companies/organisations in certain industries. The functional constituencies create an imbalance that favours the pro-Beijing side.
