Its not as if banks don't get any flak for what they do. Its just that power consumption is probably the least of the problems they cause. On the other side Bitcoins biggest problem is power consumption. Which is a problem because crytpo currency doesn't add anything to society. Its just a big gambling platform. It never became the distributed money a lot of people thought it would become.
