By its very nature you're only going to see a handful of 'great' because people want variety. Now, I appreciate finding a good band or artist whose every album is good, can be listened to for hours and still be enjoyable. Contrast that to how many radio play hits an artist gets. My anecdata has been that bands with great albums might get a lot of radio hits - or none at all, whereas one hit wonder bands rarely have good albums through and through.
