From the early '90s. I miss the simplicity of a 320x200x256 screen. Want to access the pixel at (0, 0)? $A000:0000. I miss FIDONet. I miss the big GOPHER network. I miss the the variety of monthly ANSi packs. I miss ACiD. I miss the wonder and amazement of the demo scene. I miss the community feel.

While not exactly as it was of course, FTN-style networks including FidoNet are still going and active, Gopher is still a thing, ANSI packs are still being released very regularly (ACiD folks are mostly Blocktronics at this point), demo scenes are still active, so on. Hop on a Telnet/SSH BBS and check it out!
