My wife and I can have Waze open at the same time, in the same car, with the same place as the destination and the route will be different.
- shaftway 7y agoDoesn't Waze deliberately send people down different routes to A / B test them?
- crooked-v 7y agoAnd even without A/B testing, there's obvious user experience reasons to evenly split traffic among alternate routes with about the same travel time.
- maerF0x0 7y ago+1 to A/B test peer comment . Also because alternate routes have limited capacity I'm sure there's some randomization to avoid thundering herds.
- nerpderp82 7y agoWaze is often better, I do the same thing. GM doesn't seem to account for lights or left turns as well as Waze.
- lithos 7y agoWaze also seems to shape traffic as well. There are also other times it seems to try to purposefully send me down the worse route. My assumption is that it's to get an analytic of the worse route.
