- floatingatoll 7y agoHow prevalent are printers that don’t support AirPrint? It’s been out since 2012 and HP developed it. I assume it’ll be an IT nightmare and a one-time conversion hell for a lot of people :(
- sieabahlpark 7y agoIt doesn't affect people it affects businesses who have Mac computers. Apple doesn't care about businesses though.
- amaccuish 7y agoIt's more a fact that we can't use AirPrint. We need things like accounting, authentication. Not all printers seem to support that over AirPrint.
- floatingatoll 7y agoFollow up note for enterprise folks who are terrified - OpenSSL has been deprecated on macOS since 10.7 and we’re at 10.14 and it’s still present, so “deprecated” doesn’t at all guarantee “goes away immediately”, at the very least. But the writing on the wall will be relevant to purchasing processes, so I’m glad they openly said so. Good luck!
