It's socially unacceptable to talk over a movie or TV show, but welcomed when talking over videogames.
- anon4242 7y agoThis probably has something to do with a movie/TV show is a ready-made story you mentally dive into while a multiplayer game session is a story that you create together. In the first case talking is disrupting while in the second it's part of the story.
