Why does this photonic chip only work as neural networks? What stops this technology from being made into a photonic CPU?
- tntn 7y agoIt's comparable to an old school analog computer (like the ones used long ago to simulate differential equations) using optics instead of analog electronics. They build a physical analogue of a neural network that evaluates the desired function.
