But if the current regulation hits the books they cannot afford to lose their entire fleet as there is competition in the market(although barely). This is not that simple that the entire burden would be shifted on the drivers. I think what would happen is Uber/Ola would subsidize the drivers(thereby sharing the transitioning costs) to move to an electric motors.
