Yes. Security problems are famously unique to Android. https://www.forbes.com/sites/gordonkelly/2019/01/29/apple-ios-12-1-3-release-iphone-xs-max-xr-problem-facetime-problem-video-calls-audio-calls/#4b9da31a4020 https://www.forbes.com/sites/gordonkelly/2019/01/29/apple-io...

android is both a success and a failure. i used to be a huge android fannoi before switching to iphone. even for a highly technical person, maintaining an android phone is too much.

Maintaining? What sorts of difficult maintenance tasks are you having to do on your phone that I've apparently been missing out on?
      • mirceal 7y ago
security updates? nah upgrading to new releases? nah consistent look and feel? not on my watch! it just works? madness...

I press "okay" when my phone tells me I have an update. That's it.
          • mirceal 7y ago
breaking news: you are probably running an outdated (ie insecure) version of android
            • fwip 7y ago
I get monthly security updates from my phone manufacturer, actually.
