A Monad is just a Monoid in the Category of Endofunctors.
- mikojan 7y agoThis. What's so hard to understand about that?
- alexanderdmitri 7y agoWould I be correct in saying you just encapsulated the monad state type `this` in an identity `that` by creating a monad transformer out of `understand`?
- PaulAJ 7y agoFor the non-Haskell readers, I should point out that this is just an old joke in the Haskell community. If you want it explained, see here:https://stackoverflow.com/questions/3870088/a-monad-is-just-a-monoid-in-the-category-of-endofunctors-whats-the-problem https://stackoverflow.com/questions/3870088/a-monad-is-just-...
