Like most advice in life/money/startups doesn't it really depend? I've never worked at a big company. I started and mostly failed at my first venture out of college. 2nd one did well. Never got a real job. Now don't need a real job, I love the one I've created for myself. Why should I go work for a big company? To work more hours for little to no upside? I can see some advantages....just not enough to make me quit working for myself.
