When you visit a city, many people are a bit less inhibited to strike up conversations, get into social dynamics with strangers just due to the fact of being in a different city. Carry that with you. If you have interests, find groups that have the prevailing interest (this also goes for what type of partner you are looking for (male / female) in dating).
