Speaking from Finnish perspective here. The thing is that the boomer generation did not save their pensions. We have a system where future generations pay. It worked ok back when population grew. Now it doesnt. Basically they voted that their kids will pay for their pensions and then didnt have enough kids. So now we are quite screwed.
