  Not really. Take five seconds to think about it. Kids don't need dressers to be as high as an adult's chest. The furniture just doesn't need to be tall. There's nothing convenient about a tall dresser that you have to peek over the top drawer of. Why make dressers even four feet high? The volume works better if split in half, so you can readily see down into drawers. That said, this is obviously all just one big ikea ad. If it were science, it would be about dressers in general, statistics around the globe and how to stack up the instances where kids got killed.
