- HiroshiSan 7y agoMyth: noun 1. a traditional story, especially one concerning the early history of a people or explaining some natural or social phenomenon, and typically involving supernatural beings or events. The story of money is one of the oldest ever told, which allowed us to go from physically trading items such as my goat for your sacks of potatoes, to being able to click on a button and receive a physical item such as a book, two days later.

Their worth is not inherent in the chemical structure of the metal or paper, nor in their color or shape. Money isn’t a material reality—it is a mental construct."
