From "reeducation" camps straight to Nazi Germany, didn't even need the "concentration camp" exit to get there.
How would you feel if any news about US tech would instantly, and totally, be side-tracked into discussions about still on-going US American war crimes?
Would you consider that relevant or constructive to the topic? Most certainly not.
Yet nearly every discussion about Chinese tech, these days, gets instantly flooded with "reeducation/concentration camps" and "Tiananmen Square" like it's the most normal thing in the world and completely on-topic.

Shame we don't do more of that. There's plenty of articles on HN about "is it moral to work for an IT company for a lot of money if I don't agree with their principles", yes somehow pointing out that we are literally making pretty much everything in a country that is completely fascist is...."not relevant or constructive to the topic"? Ok, sure. But it really bothers me so I will continue talking about it, unless it gets me banned from HN.

Seemingly US citizens did not ignore Nazi Germany, they supported it. Henry Ford was integral to their success. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henry_Ford#The_Dearborn_Independent_and_antisemitism https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henry_Ford#The_Dearborn_Indepe... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dehomag#Holocaust https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dehomag#Holocaust In July, 1945, the predecessor to the CIA, the US Office of Strategic Services (OSS), under the name Operation Paperclip, rescued and recruited 1,500 Nazi scientists, engineers, and spies. These included Reinhard Gehlen, Hitler’s master spy who had built up an intelligence network in the Soviet Union, SS intelligence officers Alfred Six and Emil Augsburg (who massacred Jews in the Holocaust), Klaus Barbie (the "Butcher of Lyon", who was used by the US to further anti-communist efforts in europe), Otto von Bolschwing (the Holocaust mastermind who worked with Eichmann) and SS Colonel Otto Skorzeny (a personal friend of Hitler’s). The policy of collaboration with nazi spies was deemed necessary to counter the threat from the USSR. In February 1945, 527 airplanes of the United States Army Air Forces (USAAF) dropped more than 3,900 tons of high-explosive bombs and incendiary devices on the city of Dresden, Germany, killing ~25,000 civilians The US and Nazi Germany stand united in utter disregard to class struggle and represent governments which act in the interest in continuing profit instead of bettering the human condition.
