So what prevents me from leaving the requested fields empty or even put wrong account names on it? What if I lie about my phone number? Will they call me to check wether it rings in my pocket? Will they write me an email to check wether I recieve it?
- Jach 7y agoPresumably something at the bottom you sign that says the information above is true to the best of your knowledge under penalty of perjury. Willing to risk 5 years in prison for lying?
- mattigames 7y agoWhat if I close my social media accounts just before applying, I'm telling the truth when I leave them empty right? I don't think the government thought this through.
- rjsw 7y agoThe old visa waiver form asked whether you were a gunrunner, everyone lied about that. This was when strong crypto was classed as a munition.
- pimlottc 7y agoIf you leave them blank, they could just send you a request for the missing information and wait until you send it. If they discover you have knowingly lied on your application, then you can forget about visiting the US for a long time.
- shiado 7y agoThey corroborate your story with the data the NSA has stored and then permanently ban you from the USA for life for lying because Facebook was forced to give them your IP which is tied to the Gmail account Google was forced to disclose information about where your flight booking information was received.
