Then add in the beach trips, each of those is going to cost a fortune with Uber or over $100 if you hire a car. 12,000km per year in Uber’s or hire cars will cost you far more than $2500. Sounds like you’re the perfectly rational car owner. As are a lot of people, this isn’t isolated to US only.
