  Cloud status dashboards seem to be hosted on the same cloud, which doesn't say much about redundancy.

      Someone had to design the status page, and failed to anticipate the issue about how the status page depends on the systems it is reporting on. Unlikely the rest of AWS, a cached web page does not require much complexity.
