Never, ever, believe benign excuses as: "It is just a back-up to screen for radicalized applicants." "We're simply trying to better comply with voting laws." "It is merely that my taxes are under audit." Just wait until you go into a domestic train, subway, bus station, or shopping mall and police demand to check your phone. Tolerate a penny; tolerate a dollar.
