I've used a post-2016 MBP Trackpad only in passing and found it infuriating how many phantom touches it registered. With the ThinkPad I mainly use the Trackpoint and sometimes the Trackpad for gestures. No complaints however it was nicer to click anywhere on the MBP Trackpad whereas you have to aim your clicks more on the ThinkPad. WSL is not Cygwin, it is so much better its not funny.
