Pawn shops can be useful for this, too. You won't the same price you would on ebay, but you do get to get the stuff out of your house now. When I tried the ebay route, I found that my place never actually got any cleaner. All the stuff that I had decided to declutter would still sit around the apartment, taking up space all the while, while it spends months or years waiting to be sold.
