I knew this one guy who liked telling old jokes, but pretending it actually happened to him. But he's dead now. He walked into a bar and broke his skull.

- maxklein 18y agoI'm sorry, I don't get it. Please explain.
- ssanders82 18y ago"Put it on my bill"?
- Herring 18y agoHe kept asking for soup & quackers?
- edw519 18y agoI wish it were a joke. I just googled the PHB that said that to me. He is alive and well, MBAing at his fourth company. Pity his tech people. You got me to thinking. I have lots of old stories that would appear to be stolen jokes if you didn't know any better. One of my favorites is the user who wanted a list of SKUs not on the computer. Still haven't figured out what he was thinking.
- maxklein 18y agoSo I am right in assuming you are the guy who submitted this story then: http://thedailywtf.com/Articles/The-Speedup-Loop.aspx http://thedailywtf.com/Articles/The-Speedup-Loop.aspx ? Yes, I do in fact store every single link I ever read on reddit in my brain.
- kirubakaran 18y agoGaaa I spent the past 10 minutes of my life searching for that link in TheDailyWTF and CodingHorror. Thx. You win.
- maxklein 18y agoI did this: "dailywtf loop" in google. It's the first result.
- kirubakaran 18y agoHmm... Just when you think it can't get any worse...
- edw519 18y agoCan't be me. And I can prove it: I only submit here. Different language. Different PHB. Different result. The programmer showered and shaved.

- edw519 18y ago"depends on how this startup thing goes" I hope it goes well for you. You'll need the day job.
