Just yesterday was searching on the Google Play Store if there is an Android version of Overcast. There is no decent podcast app that has this particular feature of Overcast - cutting off silence.
- f_m 7y agoOne of the most used podcast apps on Android has to be Pocket Casts, and they support removing silence : https://support.pocketcasts.com/article/audio-effects/ https://support.pocketcasts.com/article/audio-effects/
- darkpuma 7y agoIf you care to roll your own solution, I think the silenceremove filter of ffmpeg should do what you want (I've not used it myself.) https://ffmpeg.org/ffmpeg-filters.html#silenceremove https://ffmpeg.org/ffmpeg-filters.html#silenceremove
