In high school and college, I pirated plenty of music, because I was dead broke. Now that I'm older, and have a job, I'm buying a lot of the music that I downloaded 10 years ago. $1 a song is still too much, but when Amazon has digital albums for $5, I'll buy a few.
I've always gone to shows, though, to support the local artists as directly as I can.
- rick888 16y ago"$1 a song is still too much" too much??! really? $1 is hardly a lot of money for a good song. I also forgot to mention that we now have the ability to preview almost any song before buying with services like Grooveshark.
- archangel_one 16y agoIn many cases you don't know that it is a good song before you purchase it. I'm happy to spend a few dollars on an album, but not at $1/song if 70% of them are poor at best.
