This is not correct! PHP does not do bcrypt natively. Look at the supported options! Edit: crypt -> bcrypt, stupid iPad autocorrect

  am I misunderstanding something? isn't CRYPT_BLOWFISH the same as bcrypt?

    Huh... yes it is. They added it in 5.3, silly me.
