Ugh... Google owns the android brand. Is this somehow news? Google open sources the core operating system and people use it for embedded systems or grad projects as reference materials. If anyone wants to know what Android is like without Google, look at Amazon Kindle. Amazon did the whole no Google Android. Point is that this should have shocked nobody.
