Why is engineering in scare quotes?
- Nomentatus 7y agoI suppose because it wasn't highly quantitative or firmly within the range of known physics, back then. But since "engineering" originally referred to the building, operation and repair of siege engines, in ancient Rome; I'm with you. It was just plain engineering.
