- ineedasername 7y agoin modern times how often has China intervened in the affairs of a foreign state? Often. North Korea on a regular basis, Vietnam, their relations with Taiwan are a mess that needs books to cover, and their relationship with Russia over Russia's eastern border is, at best, unpleasant. I'm sure a little google-fu would reveal more. They're a world power. Interfering with other countries is part of that package.
