I used it in pre-internet days to write BCD multiply & divide routines.
- commandlinefan 7y agoWhile I was reading those chapters I thought, I'll bet the people who implemented, say, the Java standard library would have spent a lot of time reviewing these chapters. Later I noticed some comments in the Javadoc for the Java standard library that refer back to TAOCP, so I guessed correctly ;)
