He is from Canada, your suggestion is clearly not in CAD and from a brief Ebay search, is at least 500$ CAD, which is now 3x what he paid for and much more than his maximum budget. He also switched because of the noise of the previous setup. I feel like your suggestion doesn't cover that at all. Except higher performance (which doesn't seems to be a requirement for him considering his QNAP gave much worse performance and it was still not an argument for new gear), what would he get from your 3x cost?
