- wysifnwyg 7y agoThe waiting periods are supposed to mitigate transient issues. However, our current legal system doesn't have a process put in place to preemptively deal with "maybe in the future". We have a reactionary system. If you are granted a driver's license and are diagnosed with a seizure disorder then (given the severity) your license will be taken away. How would you suggest screening for illnesses which have yet to be diagnosed? How would we fairly apply your policy to all Americans so that it is not discriminatory toward any group?
