I remember when I used to actively develop Mac apps, about a decade ago, Apple actually released an XCode version where they spent a bunch of time during the WWDC dev tools keynote going over the improved integrated documentation system. I am surprised to hear that Apple docs have gotten so bad. They used to be really good, with detailed, well written documents that not only described how to do things, but why they should be done that way.
