Yet another anecdote: Several years ago, my wife had her birth control switched to the generic by our pharmacy. The day after she started taking it she became extremely nauseated, it passed later that day. The next day, the same thing. After the third time, we realized that it wasn't a coincidence, she stopped with that pill and the nausea ended. After some online research, we found the generic was manufactured in India and some people had mentioned a similar issue with the product. It took us switching pharmacies to get back on the name brand.
