What's the likely business model for Waymo if level 5 autonomy is unattainable?
Also, what did he mean by "never"? Did he mean "within our lifetimes" or something? A strangely confusing statement for a CEO of a self driving company.
- xenospn 7y agoThere are areas of the country with relatively stable weather and mild conditions (no snow, no storms, etc). Could work reasonably well there.
- _cs2017_ 7y agoI thought the conditions he is concerned about are not merely bad weather. Doesn't his statement hint at giving up on self driving in SF/NYC/London urban traffic?
