Microsoft hasn't owned anything Nokia since 2016.
This is Nokia (the company), which licenses Nokia (the phone brand) to HMD global. They are two separate companies that happen to share a building. And some former employees from Nokia (the company) now work at HMD global.
I hope that's clear.
- kingosticks 7y agoAnd just to add, there are parts of Nokia (the company) who have absolutely nothing to do with phones. Edit: although this guy is from Mobile Networks, which is related to mobile phones!
- richardwhiuk 7y agoHe's from the infrastructure part of the Nokia (i.e. what was NSN - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nokia_Networks https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nokia_Networks), rather than selling handsets part of Nokia.
