Why Are Cryptographers Being Denied Entry into the US?
- Nasrudith 7y agoThe spooks and have always hated public Crypto and the professional xenophobes known as customs officials and border security are part of that apparatus now. They have long had an absurd anti-cryptography agenda and unchecked power. Said abuses aren't surprising and won't stop until they get made an example of in the worst way.
- turk73 7y agoWell put. Yes, the government has been weaponized against us. It's only a matter of time until it tips toward a less soft-gloved approach once they realize their control mechanisms can't deter us. I was on another discussion board last night where the Las Vegas shooting was being discussed and how little transparency there was regarding Paddock's true motives and what really went on there. An important item of note was how unreliable and downright dangerous the FBI has become: In 2015, in Garland, TX, an FBI "handler" influenced two men to go shoot up a "Draw Mohammed" cartoon contest. We know this because the agent was caught fleeing the scene just after the security at the event made short work of the would-be terrorists. The instructions given? "Tear up Texas." An FBI agent actually did this. And here we see the current state of affairs between we the people and our government.
