Rechargeable lithium ion batteries don't contain elemental lithium, and thus don't constitute a fire risk in that way.
- tinus_hn 7y agoRegardless of materials batteries store large amounts of energy that are dangerous when released in an uncontrolled fashion. That’s what they do.
