Yes, right now unemployment is quite low. The unemployment rate doesn’t show you the quality of the jobs. A person working two part time minimum wage jobs (so the employers don’t pay any benefits) is probably worse off than they’d be with one full time job with a good health plan. This situation is not new to the current administration, though they’re certainly doing nothing to improve it.
- mc32 7y agoOne thing that will make people happy in addition to higher pay. Job openings after getting laid off better than in a down market. It takes the worry away from people. Even if it’s not the best pay, if beats being on unemployment assistance.
