Instead, what if receipts just include a QR code to a web page giving all kinds of details? customer could save or integrate with their personal financial management service.
- erdo 7y agoI really like this idea, a small QR code would save a lot of paper, _and_ avoid the requirement that I give the store my email address for an electronic receipt.
- niteshade 7y agoMy thoughts exactly, this approach helps with the issue of anonymous purchases (i.e. retailers linking payments with email addresses[0]) although presumably retailers will try and make up for it by shoving analytics on the receipt display page, though that can also be disabled with an adblocker.
