IIRC, if you are offered immunity you are no longer protected by the right against self-incrimination. So sidestepping questions in this way - when you could plausibly know the answer - carries some legal risks.
There is also a long history of resistance to grand juries among anarchist activists, as a policy of refusing to give evidence to the government and law enforcement organizations:
