Glad to see that HN'ers are seeing this for what it is: another Google idea that's sold as "benefitting users" when the only real beneficiary is Google's ad revenue and control over eyeballs. I'll echo the many here who report that, for everyday use, DDG is far preferable. I've only needed Google for arcane programming links or occasional news stories.
