My cat knows when my alarm is supposed to go off. If I miss it or turn if off without getting up, he's usually stomping on my throat and batting at my face to get me up. In the spring he get a bit thrown off by the increasingly earlier sunrise and usually starts his intervention 10 minutes before the alarm. He also knows to get inside of my firing arc if he seem me pointing the squirt bottle in his direction.
