True. BUT most people need some kind of structured teaching environment. They need to be nudged to move forward. Or else most people fall into the hole of never learning because they find the subject too hard or dull to move forward. I wish anyone that preaches that you don't need a four-year degree would also make sure to point out that very few people have the self-control to follow through when they have to do it on their own.
