I always have negative opinion on SQL but I can bear with it by just using a subset. Most of complex stuff are handled in application rather than SQL. Just use

I always have negative opinion on SQL but I can bear with it by just using a subset. Most of complex stuff are handled in application rather than SQL. Just use it as a simple data store. I think Datalog is a better alternative. However, for SQL or DBMS is a field with more powerful lock-in than other fields. Or Oracle wouldn't live so long so well without significant improvement over these years.
