I spent some time on their website and found humanetech's strategy to be well thought out. They aren't promoting an app, but rather a "combination of thought leadership, pressure, and inspiration to create market demand and momentum for products and services based on Humane Technology principles". Sitting back and doing nothing or promoting just using less technology doesn't really address the runaway train that many feel they are on.
