- vonmoltke 7y agoIt was Alfred Sauvy's Three-world model (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Three-world_model https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Three-world_model) that created this delineation. Mao's Three Worlds Theory (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Three_Worlds_Theory https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Three_Worlds_Theory) took the same concept, but used economic development level as the delineation instead of geopolitical alignment.
