Problems caused by inheritance is not one people maintaining legacy vb6 software have to worry about.
But in the day the main reason VB6 was called a toy language was because it wasn't fully OO, it lacked inheritance.
And in his 1999 book Francesco Balena showed how this handicap could be worked around, using delegation.
