Jesus 12% of required funding. That alone makes this seem more like an attempt by KRS to escape blame for criminal mismanagement and misrepresentation to public employees. Not that hedge funds are angels or anything. In general makes a case against pensions too. So often they are borrowed against and screw younger people over. At least with my retirement, its in an account that only I control. Of course with the concomitant risk. But I know and accept that risk. Most public employees just think there is no risk to their pension until it is too late.
